At Beach2Bush Australia, we are committed to supplying high-quality rooftop tents, vehicle awnings, 4x4 recovery equipment and camping gear. This policy explains your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and outlines our change-of-mind return terms.
1. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to:
- A replacement or refund for a major failure, and
- Compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
These rights apply in addition to any manufacturer’s warranty or change-of-mind policy.
2. Major and Minor Failures
Major Failure
A major failure occurs when:
- The product is substantially unfit for its normal purpose and cannot easily be fixed.
- The product is unsafe.
- The product is significantly different from its description or sample.
- A reasonable consumer would not have purchased the product had they known about the issue.
If a product has a major failure, you may choose between:
- A refund, or
- A replacement.
Minor Failure
If the issue is considered a minor failure, we may choose to:
- Repair the product within a reasonable timeframe, or
- Replace the product.
3. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please inspect your order upon delivery.
If you believe an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at: support@beach2bushaustralia.com
Please include:
- Your order number
- A description of the issue
- Photos or video where applicable
If the item is confirmed to be faulty or incorrect:
- We will cover reasonable return shipping costs.
- We will arrange repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with the ACL.
If the failure is major, you may choose a refund or replacement.
If the failure is minor, we will repair or replace the item within a reasonable timeframe.
4. 14-Day Change-of-Mind Returns
We offer a 14-day change-of-mind return period from the date you receive your order.
To be eligible for a change-of-mind return, the item must:
- Be unused and uninstalled
- Be in original condition
- Include all packaging, manuals and accessories
- Include proof of purchase
- Be requested within 14 days of delivery
Change-of-mind returns will not be accepted for:
- Rooftop tents or awnings that have been installed or used
- Recovery gear that has been tensioned, loaded or used
- Custom or special-order items
- Clearance or final sale items
- Gift cards or downloadable products
Approved change-of-mind returns:
- Are returned at the customer’s expense
- May incur a $20 restocking fee
- Will be refunded to the original payment method within 7 business days after inspection
Original shipping charges are non-refundable for change-of-mind returns.
5. Return Shipping Costs
If the return is due to:
- A confirmed product fault
- An incorrect item supplied
- Damage in transit
We will cover reasonable return freight costs.
If the return is for change of mind:
- The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
We recommend insuring high-value items such as rooftop tents during return transit.
6. Condition of Returned Goods
Returned goods must be securely packaged.
If damage occurs during return transit due to inadequate packaging, we may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value (for change-of-mind returns only).
This does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Manufacturer’s Warranty
In addition to your ACL rights:
- Rooftop tents include a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty.
- Awnings and accessories include a 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.
This warranty covers manufacturing defects only.
The warranty does not cover:
- Improper installation
- Misuse, overloading or modification
- Normal wear and tear
- UV degradation or weather damage
- Wind damage
- Rust due to lack of maintenance
- Mould due to improper storage
- Accidental damage
This warranty operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Labour & Consequential Loss
Where required under the Australian Consumer Law, we will compensate for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage resulting from a product failure.
We are not responsible for third-party labour or installation costs unless required under the ACL.

Items returned without prior approval may not be accepted.
10. Refund Processing
Refunds will be processed within 7 business days after the returned item has been received and assessed in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process the transaction.
